The Cost of Losing Ourselves

Somewhere along the way, many of us were taught to put everyone else first.

To keep the peace.
To stay agreeable.
To soften our truth for the comfort of others.

And in doing so, we slowly disconnected from our own knowing, our own voice, our own light.

But here’s the truth I know deep in my bones:

When a woman loves herself first, everyone she touches is changed.

Self-Love Isn’t Selfish

This isn’t about becoming self-centered or shutting the world out.
It’s about finally rooting into ourselves—not in fear, not in compromise, but in truth.

It’s about unlearning the conditioning that told us to doubt our gut, quiet our fire, or blend in when we were born to shine.

Self-love isn’t just a bubble bath or a spa day (though those can be nice).
It’s the daily decision to:

• Stand in your truth
• Honor your values
• Show up as the woman you were created to be

It’s choosing to be kind to yourself even when you’re tired, scared, or overwhelmed.
It’s remembering that your worth isn’t up for debate.

Return to Your Light

When you begin to love yourself like that—when you return to your light—you become a force.

You become a woman who doesn’t bend for approval.
A woman who can hold her ground with grace.
A woman who chooses love even when hate would be easier.

Love Is How We Fight Back

Let’s be honest—there’s a lot in this world that could make us bitter.
That could tempt us to shut down, lash out, numb, or disappear.

But hate?

Hate will kill us.
It will eat us alive.
And it will ripple out, wounding everyone in its path.

Loving ourselves first is how we fight back.
It’s how we heal.
It’s how we lead.

This Doesn’t Mean We Stay Silent

This doesn’t mean we don’t speak up.
We do.

We fight injustice.
We educate ourselves.
We question what doesn’t sit right.
We trust our gut, even when it shakes.

And we refuse to let fear have the final say.

Come home to your light.
Root into what is true for you.
Not what’s been handed to you.
Not what’s expected of you.
