You’re Invited to Be
There is a space waiting for you.
Not a space where you must perform, prove, decide, or declare.
A sacred space simply for being.
A space where you don’t need answers ahead of time.
Where you don’t need to know what you want.
Where you are not required to set a goal, pick a path, or magically “figure yourself out.”
Just… be here.
As you are.
For nearly fifteen years I’ve held space for women who are tired of carrying the weight of expectations—society’s, their family’s, their partner’s, their church’s, their own harsh inner voice. Women who walk in feeling lost, stuck, unsure, overwhelmed, numb, or quietly convinced they’ve somehow screwed up this “life” thing.
I cannot tell you who you are.
I cannot tell you what to heal or how to heal.
But I can create a space for you to explore yourself with love, curiosity, and patience.
I can offer the wisdom gathered through thousands of conversations, stories, lessons, and lived experiences.
I can be fully present—with all of me—while you learn to love yourself in your language, through your thoughts, and in your actions.
Because there are a million tiny ways you differ from every other woman on this earth, even if you’ve lived similar stories.
The way you process information.
The way you connect the dots.
The way your past whispers into your present.
You are wired in a way no one else is, and your healing—your returning to light—must honor that.
Lighting Up Your Own Mind
Years ago, I read a study (and I still wish I could find it) that said when someone tells you a problem and gives you the solution, your brain lights up in only one or two places.
But when someone asks you a question that invites you to find the answer yourself, your brain lights up everywhere.
This is the Return to Light.
Not having someone solve you.
Not being told who you need to become.
But waking up the parts of your mind, heart, and spirit that have gone dormant.
Letting your own wisdom rise and lead the way.
We each think, feel, and make meaning in a way that is beautifully unique—and yet, when we come together, each woman contributes a piece only she can bring. A great mosaic made of many lights.
I’ve walked beside women who have released their reliance on alcohol and built new lives. I’ve walked beside women who found freedom for a time and later chose a more traditional path to sobriety. None of that is failure. All of it is human. And it was an honor to hold space for each of them to find their own way home.
This Is Your Invitation
You do not have to know what you want.
You do not need clarity.
You do not have to be confident or even hopeful.
Your internal monologue might sound like:
“I’m not sure where I’m at.”
“I don’t know what I’m doing anymore.”
“I feel stuck, lost, unsure, lonely, betrayed, abandoned.”
“It feels like the clock is ticking and somehow I messed up my one precious life.”
If that’s you—come as you are.
No rules.
No judgment.
No shame.
No pretending.
Just you.
And light waiting to rise.
I will walk beside you, not in front of you. I will guide, but I will not decide for you. I don’t have your answers—but I know you do. And returning to your light is how you’ll uncover them.
You can begin this journey by reading my articles, my book, joining a group circle, or working with me one-on-one. You get to choose what feels safe and true.
And always—always—remember:
You are so loved.
Closing: A Prayer for Your Journey
When I reread this piece, I was reminded of a prayer that has guided me for years. It feels like the truest way to close this invitation:
“I will not rescue you, for you are not powerless.
I will not fix you, for you are not broken.
I will not heal you, for I see you in your wholeness.
But I will walk with you through the darkness as you remember your light.”
— A Medicine Woman’s Prayer, Sheree Bliss Tilsley
This is my work.
This is my heart.
This is your invitation back to your light.

Teresa Rodden Return to Light
Author’s Note:
I support women in their prime who feel disconnected from themselves, overwhelmed by expectations, or stuck in numbing patterns like alcohol, food, or over-functioning. My work isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong,” but guiding you back to your light — your truth, your peace, your wisdom, and your sense of possibility. You can begin this journey through my articles, my books, our group circles, or one-to-one work. Wherever you start, just remember: you are so loved.
