When the World Feels Heavy, Let Us Return to Light
Right now, many of us feel the pressure to shrink.
We see women’s rights questioned. We watch uncertainty about our country’s future. We feel the strain in relationships tested by political or religious divides. It’s no wonder there’s friction, angst, and fear in the air.
But here’s what I know: in times like this, we cannot let the loudest or ugliest voices define us.
We are not here to become smaller.
We are not here to numb ourselves just to get through the day.
We are not here to meet hate with hate.
We are here to remember who we are.
Why Returning to Light Matters
Your light is your truth.
Your light is your wisdom.
Your light is your clarity.
When we return to light, we stop reacting to fear and start responding from love. We don’t lose ourselves in the noise — we stand firmly in our values, our causes, and the truth that speaks to our souls.
Light heals.
Light helps us see better.
Light gives us the courage to keep growing, even in uncertain times.
And here’s the most important thing: we are brighter together.
A Personal Reflection
Just last week, a peer came to visit me. She said what she admired about me is how fierce, free, and open I am about my work — especially my approach to what sober really means.
That fierceness, that freedom, comes from being connected to my light, my truth.
I know who I am.
I know what matters most.
And I know what feels like life-giving freedom — and what feels like a slow dying death: settling, numbing, avoiding, and ignoring.
The cleaner my energy is — pursuing my dreams, growing forward, speaking my truth, making genuine connections, laughing and playing — the brighter my light beams. And in that brightness, I attract like light: people, opportunities, and possibilities I never could have forced into being.
This is the value of returning to light.
An Invitation
That’s why I created the Return to Light Gatherings — a 10-week journey to refresh, reaffirm, and, if needed, redirect your energy.
Beginning Tuesday, Sept 23, women will gather online each week to explore themes from my book Return to Light. Together, we’ll reflect, journal, and share in community — not to debate politics or religion, but to rise above division and return to what cannot be taken from us: our light.
✨ Details:
- When: Tuesdays, Sept 23 – Nov 25, 2025
- Where: Online via Google Meet
- How: Each week explores a chapter from Return to Light through reflection, journaling, and sharing.
- Donation: Suggested $22 per gathering or $150 for the full 10 weeks (give what feels right — no one will be turned away).
Brighter Together
The world will always have noise. But together, we can choose clarity over confusion, compassion over hate, and light over fear.
I know the freedom and fierceness that comes from living connected to your light. It’s what allows me to grow forward, to laugh, to make true connections, and to attract people and opportunities that feel alive – makes you feel alive.
And I want that for you, too.
That’s why I created the Return to Light Gatherings — so you have a space to refresh, reaffirm, and even redirect your energy. A circle where you can remember your truth, clear your energy, and step back into the wholeness that has always been yours.
✨ We begin Tuesday, Sept 23.
Donation-based (suggested $22 per gathering or $150 for the full 10 weeks).
You don’t have to do this alone. Join us and experience what it feels like to live more, not numb less.
