SIGNS, SIGNS, EVERYWHERE ARE SIGNS
Do you believe in signs? Do you look for meaning when random things happen?
I think I’ve always been inclined to pause and be curious when I see six hawks swirling in the sky, or if I have a reoccurring dream, or when I am unsure of something, I look for confirmation, “show me a sign.”
My mom transitioned on April 16, 2021. I was numb, and broken-hearted, and locked in what felt like the twilight zone. It wasn’t just mom’s passing. It was the politics, the pandemic, and I had been on a personal journey to make an important decision. This decision was connected to everything.
Does Pink Cloud Coaching continue?
I loved my work, but I hated all the supposed to’s around it. The image, the future, the scaling, the promoting, you should use this language, you have to do this and that to be “successful” when all I wanted to do was help you.
I don’t care how my logo looks or if it will fit in this or that and if anybody ever wants to buy Pink Cloud Coaching or if my message is laymen enough for anybody to understand.
THE SEEKER HEARS MY MESSAGE
What I do, hasn’t been done, so it can’t be in laymen’s terms. What matters is that the woman who is seeking can find me – she can hear me and connects with my message. That’s what matters, and she gets what I am saying. That’s why women tell me, “I feel hope for the first time in a long time.”
My experience has been the more we focus on the problem, the bigger the problem becomes and the more energy it attracts. I want women to feel free and empowered to daydream and do, play in a way that reminds them of who they are, not who the world expects them to be, and live a life they have yet to dream.
Oh, yes, this is what love feels like. I love my work, and if I can’t do it my way, I’m out! But this is MY work. Nobody is stopping me but me. I let all the “experts” have the wheel in my head. We are all susceptible to getting off track with good intentions.
UNEXPECTED TRAUMA
Everything was coming together. I was reconnected to SELF, getting my body back, because that happens when you are in flow and feel good, my ginormous smile returned, I had made a decision that made my heart sing, the Pink Cloud will carry on without the supposed to’s, but with my heart and soul.
April 15, 2021, I had just received my first vaccination, and I was within reach of seeing and holding my grandson, Mom, and sons, for the first time in over a year. Everything felt so hopeful. I had talked to my Mom two times that day. The first was while I was in the waiting room waiting to see if I started craving flesh from the vaccine, a little humor, and the next was around noon to see if I had heard from my sister. My sister was experiencing a mystery illness and had been admitted to the hospital. I honestly cannot remember the details of the call, but it was less than a minute. Mom got curt and short when she was scared, and she was worried about my sister. That was it. The following day I got a call from my sister that Mom was gone. How is this even real? It’s so weird. I can’t. I just can’t.
The days that followed were like walking through a muted reality. Everything was dull and seemed pointless.
One morning I woke up and thought, I can’t do this. I don’t want to relaunch Pink Cloud, and I don’t want to carry on as nothing has changed. Mom, I’m so sorry. I miss you. Over the last few months, I leashed up Maggy and headed out for a walk as had been typical. My mood was dark, and my thoughts were in a fog.
DIVINE INTERVENTION
About a mile into the walk, from out of nowhere, it seemed, something flew into my chest. With a gasp, I raised my hands and grabbed feathers. In disbelief, I released my hold, and off flew a woodpecker. A woodpecker!!! A woodpecker? There was no mistaking its bright red head and black and white body. It sailed off to a tree across the street.
Dazed and confused, I continued my walk, trying to make sense of what just happened. I felt like this was no coincidence and had to explore what such an encounter could mean. Oh, it was so interesting. I was a bit scared about what I might find between you and me, but I couldn’t just leave it.
To begin, it’s highly unusual for any bird to fly into a human. They avoid contact in all measures. And it seemed to make a physical connection with a woodpecker was even more unlikely.
As I dug, I found that the woodpecker is my Native American birth sign. I had no idea I had a Native American birth sign. I listened to many youtube videos on the subject and read many different web pages. A lot of the content was regurgitated, but some renewed my spirit. I’ll share with you what fed my aching soul.
WOODPECKER MEANING AND SYMBOLISM
The woodpecker comes with the message that you have the foundation, and it is now safe for you to follow your own rhythms. YES!
Woodpecker symbolism is essential in broadening your understanding of new opportunities, protecting the vulnerable and weak around you, and giving you the power to unleash your creativity and innovation. YES!
It means taking careful note of all the opportunities knocking on your door and not wasting time opening them. YES!
While the woodpecker hammers her beak against the hardwood to maximize her benefits, you can use your wisdom, creativity, and perseverance to reap the maximum benefits in life. No matter how impossible or complicated your situation, maybe, if you use your head wisely, you will find a strong foothold in life. YES!
Woodpecker meaning is signaling you that significant changes are happening in your life. Therefore, it is up to you to seize the moment. Whether it is the renewal of an old project, the finishing of a new project, or a serendipitous meeting with someone in your life, get busy! Furthermore, whatever way you perceive it, this spirit animal insists that you must understand that the door is wide open for you right now and that success is yours for the asking. YES!
Woodpecker symbolism is reminding you that you must march to your rhythms. In other words, go with your natural flows, and make sure that you keep moving forward without interference from others. YES!
Native American wisdom also prescribes drumming as a means to journeying (transcendentalism), and so many tribes considered the woodpecker as an other-worldly messenger and a prophet. Mom, is that you?
This one might matter to you most, but I didn’t need a sign to tell me this. This is why I do what I do!
Woodpeckers are usually the most nuturing of all the Native American animal symbols. The consummate listener, totally empathic and understanding, the woodpecker is the one to have on your side when you need support. YES!
Over and over with each website and video, I was getting the message to carry on. And then there was the messaging about the woodpecker drumming into the tree, which symbolizes the heartbeat of mother earth.
I started searching for the heartbeat of mother earth and learned about Native American drumming and its healing potential, also symbolizing the heartbeat of mother earth. I started pulling that thread and inquired about training to learn and use drumming to help myself and others. And just like magic, I received an email from a longtime associate leading a weekend workshop to make my own drum.
I would choose the material, build it with my own hands, and do so with an intention set in my heart and mind. I can hardly wait to see where this leads next.
DO I BELIEVE
Do I believe in signs? I believe in the possibilities. I believe in the magic of miracles. I believe in logic. I believe that whatever gives someone comfort, inspires them to move forward, takes a beat to look within, opens their mind to consider new information is good for me. I believe.
Wait until I tell you about the eagle! Soon. 😉
WHAT ABOUT YOU?
Have you had anything pulling your spirit? Is something trying to get your attention? Often, when we desire to change our drinking habits, it’s our inner-being trying to get our attention. It’s time for a change.
Would you like some support exploring the possibilities of how to let go of habits, patterns, rituals that are keeping you stuck and discover inspiration to move you forward?
I’m just a click away, and I’m always interested in helping you reach your highest potential.
Much love,
Teresa Rodden
